A female person who supplied tens of thousands of fake sildenafil pills has been jailed for two-and-a-half period. Shazia Amjad, 39, boxed and packaged the drugs in the plot of land shed of her home in Uxbridge, west Capital of the United Kingdom.
When police raided it last November they found counterfeit medicines Worth more than £250,000.
In September Amjad pleaded guilty to currency laundering, self-control of a education C drug with import to activity and individuality impostor offences.
'Severely detrimental'
Tierce types of erectile dysfunction pad, slimming pills, painkillers and anabolic steroids were found by City of London officers when they raided Amjad's shed.
A spokesperson for the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Representation (MHRA) said customers from the UK and US would ordering the drugs over the internet.
An accomplice would then post them to Amjad from Pakistan, who would software package them and send them on to customers so that the British postmark would give the parcels a look of respectability to avoid the magnet of customs officials.
Det Con Sir Angus Wilson McQuitty, who led the City of John Griffith Chaney Police inquiry, said: "Shazia Amjad was exploiting family line who genuinely needed these drugs for her own personal gain."
Mick Deats, head of enforcement at the MHRA said: "People should ensure that they only obtain their medicines from legitimate outlets.
"If kinsfolk do not, then there can be no warrantee to their preventive, social station or indeed that they work.
"At best these medicines could be a stuff of medium of exchange, at attempt they could be severely detrimental to your eudaemonia."
Exit condemnation, Registrar Robert Moneyman QC recommended that Amjad, a Pakistani national, be deported when she is released from state of affairs.
The functioning also netted 12 passports hidden region a suitcase and 30 bank and citation cards.
